What filming experience have you had?
Warren Farm has been used as a location and location base for over 40 years. With a whole range of shoots, from simple news interviews to large scale films.
Why are you a good location base?
We have ample room for parking several hundred cars, easy access for large lorries, no footpaths/public rights of way close to the area for location base, access to main water and we’re within easy reach of Cheddar Gorge, Wells and surrounding areas, making us a great place for a location base with a bonus of you not having to drive through a town to get to these places. We also have a very ‘can do attitude’ when it comes to your requirements, so we like to think we’re very easy to work with.
You say Warren Farm has been used as a filming location, what do you offer?
We’ve a range of traditional stone buildings with a courtyard area alongside a range of modern buildings. We’ve had sets built within some of our sheds and various outdoor areas used. This has included knights fighting battle re-enactments to whole villages and a church being built; with the advent of CGI, the options have become even greater. We’re always happy to work with the location team to discuss options and find solutions.
What do you charge?
Because of the flexible nature of filming requirements, we don’t have a set fee, rather its by mutual agreement within a pricing structure.
We’re only small scale and would like to film for just one day, is that possible?
Yes, this is possible.
What if we wanted to be on location for up to one month, or even longer, is that a problem?
No, we’re flexible and open to discussion.
Is there a time constraint accessing the site, ie out of hours?
No, 24hrs access is possible.
Is security a problem?
It’s rarely an issue. The farm buildings are located nearly half a mile from a public road so its out of the way of prying eyes, in fact most people won’t even know you’re there. Some larger productions like to have private security on site which isn’t a problem, we’ve also got 24hr CCTV on site.
